RepLog Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information RepLog ("the app," "we," "us") collects, how it's used, and what choices you have. RepLog is a free, independent workout-tracking app.

Who we are

RepLog is developed by the RepLog developer. Contact: support@replog.uk.

What we collect

We collect only what's needed to run the app:

• Account information: the email address and password you sign up with. Passwords are handled by our backend provider, Supabase, and are never stored or visible to us in plain text. We use your email address only to run your account, for example to send the confirmation link when you sign up and the link to reset your password.
• Workout data: exercises, sets, reps, weights, RPE, training maxes, routines, and programs you create or log.
• Progress photos: if you choose to add a progress photo, the image file is uploaded to private cloud storage tied to your account. Only you can access your own photos.
• Body measurements: any measurements you choose to enter.

We do not collect location data, contacts, advertising identifiers, or browsing history, and the app has no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind.

Lock Screen, Home Screen widget and Live Activity

RepLog can show your next routine in a Home Screen widget and your current exercise, rest timer and workout progress in a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. This information is prepared and displayed on your device and is shared only between the RepLog app and its own widget on that device; it is not sent anywhere extra. Because it appears on screens that can be seen without unlocking your phone, anyone who can see your screen may be able to read it. You can remove the widget at any time, and you can turn Live Activities off in your device's Settings → RepLog.

Apple Health and Apple Watch (optional)

If you turn on "Save workouts to Apple Health" in Settings, RepLog asks for permission to write your finished workouts (as strength training, with start and end time) to Apple Health on your device. If you use the RepLog app on Apple Watch, the watch also asks to read your heart rate during a workout, so it can show it on your wrist and save it with the workout to Apple Health. Heart rate is read only while a workout is running and stays on your watch and in Apple Health; nothing from Health is sent to our servers. You can turn any of this off in RepLog's settings or in the Health app at any time, and workouts already saved in Health stay under your control there. Your phone and watch share your current workout and routines with each other directly, over Apple's connection between the two devices.

Data kept on your device

To work without a signal, RepLog keeps a copy of your routines, exercise list and history, and any workout changes not yet uploaded, in the app's private storage on your phone. This data is cleared when you sign out or when a different account signs in.

Exercise content

The exercise illustrations and instructions in RepLog come from a third-party dataset, RepDB. They are stored inside the app itself, so viewing them does not send any information about you to RepDB or anyone else.

How we use it

Solely to provide the app's core functionality: storing and displaying your workouts, routines, progress, and account back to you across sessions and devices. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything beyond running the app.

Where it's stored

Your data is stored with our backend provider, Supabase, which hosts the database and file storage RepLog uses. Supabase acts as our data processor; their own privacy and security practices apply to how they store and protect the underlying infrastructure. We also use Resend to deliver account emails (confirmation and password reset), which means your email address is passed to Resend when one is sent. We do not use any other third-party processor.

Your rights

You can:

• Delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly in the app (Settings → Delete Account). This permanently removes your account, workouts, routines, progress photos, and measurements — there is no recovery period, so consider exporting anything you want to keep first.
• Download a copy of your data in the app (Settings → Download My Data). It includes your workouts, routines, measurements and custom exercises as a file you can keep or move. Progress photo files aren't in this file; contact support@replog.uk if you'd like copies of them.

Children's privacy

RepLog is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at support@replog.uk and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
